Rumours surround Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring

Microgaming powered Royal Vegas online casino announce a revamped version of Microgaming’s hallmark slot game will be released in September.

Chatter about Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring reached fever pitch this week. A newsletter from Microgaming powered All Jackpots casino said, “Prepare to feel the power of the ring- coming soon,” leading to speculation that the second part of the trilogy would be released.

A press release from Royal Vegas casino, as yet unconfirmed by Microgaming, then clarified that an enhanced version, which “builds on the success of the original game”, will be released.

The enhanced version features Gollum, who can appear anywhere and award players with features and prizes. Gollum is a Hobbit, who lost possession of the One Ring to Bilbo Baggins. The Ring caused him to develop a split personality, friendly and loving Slinker and treacherous and evil Stinker.

Another new feature is a progressive jackpot, taking the game’s total number of progressive jackpots to four. Royal Vegas states, “There is a chance to win one of four jackpots within the randomly triggered Bonus Wheel feature. The higher the bet, the better the chances are of winning.”

The features that make LOTR so successful are retained on the enhanced version, including Cinematic Spins, where scenes from the film play as the reels spin. There is also still 243 ways to win.

Microgaming is no rush to release the next installment of the trilogy. The software provider, which invested in the trilogy with Warner Brothers, is publically remaining quiet about its plans.

Royal Vegas online casino is a brand of the Fortune Lounge group. It is licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta.
